Your Own Trainer · Always

Training

The most personal
kind of training.

All training is one-on-one with your own trainer, LIMA-informed. Specializing in reactive, anxious, and rescue dogs. Methods matched to your dog, not to a label. Once your dog is responding at home, Field Trips take training into the real world: parks, trails, pet-friendly stores, wherever reactivity actually shows up.

Two-Week Program

Board & Train

Two weeks of training,
at home with us.

For two weeks, your dog lives in our home and trains every day as part of ordinary household life. We only take one dog at a time, so yours never competes with another client's dog for our attention. And because training only lasts if you know how to keep it going, we teach you too: a lesson when we pick your dog up, another midway through, and a last one when we bring them home.

A phone consult and an in-person assessment come first.

Board & Train

14 days · pickup, drop-off & 3 lessons

Follow-up lessons after the stay are $90 each for your first three. More than one dog? Just ask.

Good to Know

A few common questions

Reach out on our Contact page and we'll schedule a quick phone consult first. From there, you'll create your account in our client portal to manage bookings, messages, and your dog's profile in one place.

We use positive reinforcement and relationship-based techniques: no prong collars or intimidation. If you want the full philosophy, meet Kourtenay on our About page.

Always. You keep the same trainer from first session to last. No handoffs, no rotating staff.

That's actually most of what we do. If your dog lunges, barks, or has been labeled "too difficult," our Reactive Dog Sessions are a good place to start: low pressure, low threshold, real progress.

Yes, and that's intentional. Training works best when you're part of it. You'll leave each session knowing exactly what to practice and why.

It's built for obedience, house skills, new rescues and puppies 16 weeks and up. It isn't for dogs with a bite history or aggression. That work takes months with you involved, and we'd rather start you with lessons than take $1,800 for something two weeks can't do.

Board & Train isn't vacation boarding. We'll be texting, sending videos and asking questions throughout, so you'll need to be reachable. For travel, our pet sitting keeps your dog home on their own routine.

The $200 deposit is refundable until 24 hours before the stay. End early and you pay only for the days used. If the program isn't working for your dog, we refund everything but the deposit.

Yes. Pay the $1,800 up front, or pay a $200 deposit and split the rest into three monthly payments of $543.33 or four payments of $415 every two weeks. That adds $10 a payment monthly, or $15 every two weeks. If cost is the only thing stopping you, call anyway.

We take one family at a time, so there's usually a waitlist, and you can start lessons while you wait. It's closed through December and the first week of January, our busiest stretch, so every dog gets our best.

Yes, we have dogs of our own. Introductions happen slowly and only when an assessment says it's safe, so time with other dogs is never a promise.

Yes, it's free and short. Before the first walk or care visit, we meet your dog on their turf so there's no pressure on day one. Reach out to schedule yours.

Houston and surrounding neighborhoods. Send us a note with your zip and we'll confirm. Our service area grows as the team does.

Yes. We take 15% off for military and educator families: active-duty service members, veterans, and teachers. Just mention it when you reach out and we'll apply it.
